After months of online sessions, Teruel Airport has hosted the practical session of the summer course of the BIZENTE project. Dozens of participants traveled to PLATA’s facilities to attend a day of lectures and a visit to the airport hangars, where plots of land have been set up to carry out different aircraft recycling processes.
During the session, participants had the opportunity to learn about the green technology proposed by the BIZENTE project for the recycling of high-value components of thermoset structures, which can be found in the structure of an aircraft.
The Summer Course has been complemented with technical knowledge linked to the green transition of the aeronautical industry, such as the innovation proposed by HELACS and VIBES projects, and new lines of recycling of composites in other sectors such as the energy sector, which is being studied by the EOLO-HUBS project.
