Are you interested in the exciting world of composite and enzymes? And about the recyclability of these advanced materials and their new applications in strategic sectors? From Bizente , Helacs, and Vibes projects we invite you to participate in these great theoretical-practical courses that our coordinator from Aitiip Tecnology Center is organizing together with Universidad de Zaragoza and Aeropuerto de Teruel (PLATA), where the practical lessons will take place.

Summer School courses:

Course I: Enzymes to resolve end-of-life issues of thermoset composite plastics

Objectives:

It is expected that students at the end of the course:

– Acquire knowledge about thermoset composites and the use of enzymes. Providing students with the opportunity to be original in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context.

– Learn how to apply the knowledge acquired about composites and enzymes, applying their resolution capacity in new environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.

Programme:

This is a 30-hour hybrid or blended learning course on the application of enzymes to solve end-of-life problems of thermoset composite plastics. It has a 24-hour theoretical part that is implemented on Aitiip’s e-learning platform, Aitemy (https://aitemy-learning.com/es/) and a 6-hour practical part that will take place in person at the headquarters of Teruel Airport (PLATA).

The course content will be in English only.

The use of the blended methodology allows both the development of an asynchronous course, which enables the student to take responsibility for their own itinerary and pace of learning, as well as providing the direct and practical contact necessary to ensure a real, current understanding adapted to the industry.

Additional information:

The use of the blended methodology allows both the development of an asynchronous course, which enables the student to take responsibility for their own itinerary and pace of learning, as well as providing the direct and practical contact necessary to ensure a real, current understanding adapted to the industry. Since its opening on May 15th , the course can be taken at any time until it closes on September 15th.

The practical part of the course will take place in PLATA. Teruel Airport. Polígono de Tiro, 4 44396, Teruel.

This face-to-face session will take place on September 15th.

Course II: Improving recyclability of thermoset composite materials through a greener recycling technology

Objectives:

The student will have the ability to manage information from various sources, assessing its relevance, reliability, and relevance for a specific purpose, analyzing it and organizing it.

In addition, it will facilitate the student’s recognition of the basic concepts on the recyclability of composites and their practical application to different sectors such as construction, aeronautics or naval and their awareness of the importance and impact of recycling technologies for plastic products in particular and for the circular economy and sustainability in general.
