Toxicity assessment is fundamental not only to guarantee the quality of a product and the safety of the process, but also from the point of view of environmental protection and the achievement of sustainable development objectives. For this reason, the University of Cadiz is studying the effects of the new, more biodegradable and sustainable products of the BIZENTE project. To this end, toxicity tests will be carried out on different tissues, as well as on invertebrate organisms and fish, representative of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
